11/2015 Body with Blessed Unrest: a new phase of this two years long residency has started, we’re working at the IRT on the new incarnation of the show that will have its full production next Spring.
10-11/2015 Front Cover will have its International premiere at the Hong Kong Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, and will have screenings at the Chicago International Film Festival and Hawaii International Film Festival. In other news the film has been picked for theatrical distribution both in Hong Kong and North America.
9-10/2015 The Golden Drum Year is having its full production! After more than two years of work in progress Beto O’Byrne beautiful play in poetry and prose about one year in the life of six New Yorkers will open at University Settlement on September 26th and will run until October 10th. It’s a great joy to continue working on a piece that has been with me since I moved to NYC.
7/2015 If you are in Chicago you don’t want to miss Y Portraits: Awakening, from July 30th to August 1st, curated by Mozawa with more that 55 self portraits by artists from all over the world. My video self portrait Ora Non E’ Piu’ Ora, based on a personal story that I love a lot, is there along with many other wonderful artists’ work.
7/2015 I’m very happy to present a 10 minutes piece in collaboration with Rebecca Martinez and Beto O’ Byrne as part of the Go Green: Pop Up Festival produced by the Movement Theater Company and Radical Evolution at the Urban Garden Center in Harlem on August 1st.
7/2015 The Superhero Clubhouse team of Earth: A Play About People will present a new exploration of the play on July 24th at part of the Drama League residency.
6-7/2015 Body with Blessed Unrest is part of the OBIE Award winning Ice Factory Festival at the New Ohio Theater from July 1st to July 4th. This is the first incarnation of the show which will have a full production during the Spring of 2016.
5/2015 The feature film Front Cover in which I played the role of the fashion stylist Francesca Cappiello premiered at Seattle International Film Festival on May 28th (with 2 more screening on the 29th and on June 4th) as part of the Catalyst and New American Cinema programs.
2/2015 Blessed Unrest is in residency at the IRT to continue the creation of Body for the whole month of February.
12/2014 The Body project starts: my beloved company Blessed Unrest was honored with a two years residency at the New Ohio Theater to develop a new devised show temporarily called Body. We had a 10 days workshop in December to start to explore the subject . Prior to the that, the residency was announced in a beautiful evening at the New Ohio Theater, in which we’ve been invited to perform a little bit of something.. else :)

10/09 to 11/03 LYING: latest Blessed Unrest’s creation LYING opens on October 9th and will run for four weekends (Fri to Mon) at Interart Theater. The story is rich and compelling, 5 actors will play 37 different characters to follow this deep and fun journey into one woman’s mind. The play is adapted by Matt Opatrny from Lauren Slater’s book LYING: A Metaphorical Memoir.
09/22 IT Awards: Blessed Unrest, the fabulous company I’m so fortunate to be associate artist to, has been honored with the 2014 Cafe Cino Fellowship Award from the NY Innovative Theater Awards Foundation. Watch our acceptance speech/performance here! It’s been such a fantastic night!!
09/20 Earth: A Play About People: NYC based company Superhero Clubhouse has been granted with a space residency at Governors Island by LMCC to develop the second phase of Earth: A Play About People, a very ambitious show involving more than 20 artists in NYC and several satellite team to create material all over the world. We’ll show the result of this phase on September 20th at Governors Island.
08/28 Live Lunch Series @Andrew W. Mellon Foundation: this will be the first incarnation of the Live Lunch Series, a project that is meant to bring theater to work environments during lunch breaks. I’m playing the role of Lia in this show created for the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, written by Beto O’Byrne and directed by Simon Hanukai.
06/21 Sound Event @Socrates Sculpture Park: Stop by for a Saturday evening of beautiful art in the gorgeous Socrates Sculpture Park in Astoria. I’m part of a live sound installation conceived by talented visual artist Audra Wolowiec. The event is from 5pm to 10pm and before you can enjoy the sun. the cats and the farmer’s market!
06/2014 Around The Block 5 pieces created by 5 directors about 5 different NYC neighborhoods, will be up for 5 performances in the middle of June. I’m part of Eviction Notice a devised piece that focuses on gentrification in Bushwick.
05/23-24 The second workshop showing of The Fall – Berlin Wall Project will take place on Friday at 8pm and Saturday at 5pm at The Loft in the Village. It will be a reading of the beautiful script the playwrights and the director have been working on during the last months. The cast is lovely and talented and I’m very excited to play the role of the Administrator.
04/11/2014 An e’en of ale and an auld-warld wallop will take place at Interart Theatre to conclude the workshop on The Scottish Play with a huge party with kilts and Scotch! We deeply dived in the Macbeth’s world and the exploration for this first approach to the story has been so fascinating and intense! So now we need party to relax :) Entertainment will be provided: we’ll show a little beautiful thing from the workshop!

03/07/2014 Don’t miss the Evening of Dionysian Debauchery at Interart Theater (500 West 52nd St. NYC), wonderful Greek party night to end an inspiring workhop based on the Atreus’ house mythology. We worked on Aeschilus’ Oresteia, Sophokles’ Elektra and Euripides’ Iphigenia in Aulis, and from there we went crazy as it usually happens with Blessed Unrest. 12/2013 – 01/2014 I’m very happy to be working as the Italian Voice Over for the role of Lima in the newly released cartoon of The Invizimals. The first six episodes will be on air on the Italian channel K2 on Dec 14th and 21st and the entire series will be on air in 2014. The character I play is a 14 years old girl and it’s been a lot of fun going back to act in my native language for a little while.
12/12 – 12/15/2013 The Golden Drum Year: the show is part of The Second Decade Project a multidisciplinary work based on a series of 365 poems written by poet and playwright Beto O’Byrne during the course of one year. This is the second incarnation of the show, that was workshopped before during the Summer of 2012 through a retreat at Tofte Lake Art Center in Minnesota and performed in NYC. Rehearsal started in mid November with an amazingly talented cast and crew and I can’t wait to see how this new phase of the work will develop! Check out my calendar for details.

09/30/2013 I’m incredibly happy to announce that on September 30th I was honored, together with fantastic Blessed Unrest’s director Jessica Burr, with the 2013 Innovative Theater Award for Outstanding Choreography/Movement, for our work in Eurydice’s Dream. 10/2013 A lovely week workshopping Lying, one of the upcoming production of Blessed Unrest, adapted by Matt Opatrny and Jessica Burr from the Memoir of Lauren Slater. As always happens with this company the room was full of joy and talent.
09/2013 A Christmas Carol workshop: a new adaptation by Matt Opatrny of famous Charles Dickens’ novel has been workshopped by a stunning group of artists at Interart Theater with Blessed Unrest. We are having fun playing around pre-pre-Christmas scenes and we’ll be showing a small extract from the work on Friday Sept 20th at the Launch Season Party at Interart Theater. It’s gonna be free and fun!!

It’s been such a joy to work in their last two productions Eurydice’s Dream and 400 Parts Per Million, and I’m honored be to part of this ensemble full of wild and talented artists from all over the world. 08/2013 Front Cover: I’m incredibly excited to be playing the role of Francesca Cappiello, an Italian pregnant fashion stylist, the boss of the main character, in the next feature film of the amazing director Ray Yeung, Front Cover. My character’s scenes have been shot the last week of August in Chelsea and it’s been great work and wonderful time on set with the most amazing cast and crew!! Can’t wait to see the film!

07/22 IT Awards Nominations: Eurydice’s Dream, Blessed Unrest’s show I was in in March/April, has received two nominations for the New York Innovative Theater Awards!! The play has been nominated for Outstanding Performance Art Production, and wonderful director Jessica Burr and me for Outstanding Choreography/Movement. Congrats to the amazing cast and crew and many thanks to all those who voted for us!! Now fingers crossed until September 30th :-)
06/01 – 06/03/2013 400 Parts Per Million with Blessed Unrest: we’ve been rehearsing in May this new original devised piéce. Cast and crew are incredibly talented and fun to work with! We’ll show the work at Interart Theater June 1st through 3rd. It’s been an exciting experience so far and it’s truly worth to check it out!

So happy to be part of this show!Conceived and directed by Blessed Unrest’s Artistic Director Jessica Burr and created by the ensemble, Eurydice’s Dream is an original pièce inspired to the myths of Orpheus/Eurydice and Echo/Narcissus.
